Having A Fresh Start

Many of us may of had a bad childhood or upbringing. Maybe it really affected us into adulthood. The thing is we don't have to live this way any longer. We have a choice. We don't have to keep going on the way we don't like to just because that is how our family has been or that is how we were raised. Just like we don't have to keep dragging on an addiction of some sort and explain it as this is how our parents are and their parents and so on. We can be free of all of our family curses. We can break them chains that have been holding us in that area. We have to actually want to change these things though. Either we are going to keep making excuses and live miserable or we are going to make that change now. When we invite the Holy Spirit into our heart we are recreated. We are now a new person. We were messed up and in need of repair and now we are working on our new person. We can't live in the past either because when we do, we will only hold a lot of bitterness, regret, sadness and many other negative emotions that are unhealthy for us. Why would we want to stay that way? Don't let the past dictate your future! You have probably heard that before, it is a true statement. What we have to do is seek God first, then He will bless us with the things we desire. He is the answer to what we need, He knows what we need, what we think and what we do when nobody is looking. So, if you want to have a great life and be happy put the Lord first in your life.

Matthew 6:33 Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you.
