Don't Stress!
Don't stress? What kind of title is this that you ask? I thought I would talk about how stressed we get at times and really what does it do for us? Nothing, absolutely nothing at all. Perhaps we will get headaches, feel sick to our stomachs, complain to people, become bitter, maybe isolate ourselves from others and sit there and meditate on everything that's stressing us out. None of this is what God wants nor is it healthy or helpful for us in any way.
We need to have the proper tools to know what to do when we face "storms" that may become challenging for us. I understand how hard it can be to pray when your mind is filled with the challenge you may be facing and it is okay if it is hard. You don't have to pray perfectly. Just simply speak to the Lord and ask Him to help you with your situation, ask Him to give you the strength that you need at the moment and moments you will face ahead. Then you must receive it and give thanks to Him for His help. Are you so stressed that you don't even know what to ask help for or where to start? Be calm, ask Him to help you in everywhere area you are struggling in at this time. Just be sure that you will be ready to make the changes He will show you. It's also important and helpful to read the best book in the world, the bible. Read some scriptures to get out of your head and be encouraged.
We can't live a happy life if we are always stressed out. Another way to look at things would be that there are always other people in worse situations than us so, why are we complaining so much? There are probably many people that would be very grateful to be in our situations rather than theirs'. We have to start being thankful for everything we have and thankful that we are alive, on earth and realize that we are all here for a purpose and it's not to complain everyday and be bitter. None of us know when our last days are so we need to start living in love rather than hate or unforgiveness toward people. I hope this can encourage you in some way, feel free to leave any comments below and follow me for more blog updates!

Don't Sin On Purpose!
It's hard to do what's right at times when you are around the wrong type of people or if you are in a another place in your mind. Don't get me wrong here, you can't blame other people for your actions. I just know how easy some people can be influenced. As a Christian I know how hard it is to make new friends that are trying to live the same lifestyle as you are intending to live. Some people begin to backslide and do things they don't really want to do, they are just trying to make "friends". If you have to be someone else or do things that you shouldn't be doing in order to make a friend, that friend is not the friend for you. You are sinning in order to make a friend, why? If you love Jesus and want to do what is right it's best to pray and ask for the right people to be in front of you and the right people will come to you and you will be able to become friends with them as yourself. People sin all the time of course, none of us are perfect, we never will be, of course. Jesus died for our sins, He knew we would sin! How about not sinning on purpose? So, when you sin, what are you supposed to do? Repent. Only repent if you are actually sorry and it's coming from your heart. Don't repent and then do the same thing 20 minutes later. How about thinking before we speak or act?
Jesus said,
Matthew 5:6 KJV
Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.
Matthew 5:8 KJV
Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.

I Give It All To You Lord
I give all my worries to the Lord. I realize that I can't do everything. I can't fix everything, nobody can, only the Lord can do all things that seem impossible to us. So many times I have gotten all stressed out and have always tried to fix things just so I can feel better. Friends would tell me their problems and I would feel the urge to fix their problems, well, try to fix their problems. That alone will drive you nuts! It isn't for us to fix. We can not change anybody but ourselves if we really want to and we can not fix everything that is wrong. The most important thing for us to do is to pray for people and ourselves. We have to leave it to God. We have to let things go and allow the Lord to do what He does for us. He wants to help us but we have to let Him help us. Give all your worries to the Lord and things will start going better for you.
Proverbs 3:5 (NLT) Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding.
Psalms 28:7 (NLT) The lord is my strength and shield.

Overcoming Stress
Sometimes things can become very overwhelming and stressful as you are just starting out trying new things or perhaps you are stressed out because you have a lot on your plate. On this page you will find some very helpful bible verses to overcoming stress. Do not give up on yourself or anybody, do not listen to people that aren't going to be supportive in what you want to create or accomplish, not everybody understands or believes in the same things you may be believing in.
If you work hard at what you are trying to accomplish and are honest about it God will see how hard you are working and it will pay off. If you are doing the right thing that isn't just going to benefit you then you will be fine. Truthfully when we do choose to do the right things, we won't have to chase our blessings, our blessings will chase us! Nobody is perfect of course but, we have to make attempts at doing the right things. Do not do the wrong things on purpose! If we are putting God first in our life, He will add everything we need and desire. Jesus tell us this:
Read Matthew 6:33 (NLT)
Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.
Deuteronomy 28:15-19 (NLT)
“But if you refuse to listen to the lord your God and do not obey all the commands and decrees I am giving you today, all these curses will come and overwhelm you: 16 Your towns and your fields will be cursed. 17 Your fruit baskets and breadboards will be cursed. 18 Your children and your crops will be cursed. The offspring of your herds and flocks will be cursed. 19 Wherever you go and whatever you do, you will be cursed.
If you follow God, you will reap good things. If you go against God, you will reap bad things. If you want to overcome stress you have to learn to trust in God more than what you currently do. Remember that He is there to help us through all of our decisions.
Hebrews 11:6 (NLT)
And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him.

10 Ways To Think Positive
- Start fixing your thoughts on what is true, honorable, right and pure.
- Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise, rather then the wrong things in your life.
- For every negative thought, try thinking about 5 positive affirmations.
- Motivate others to love by showing them your love for them regardless of how you may feel.
- Do not hang out with people that are going to put you down, discourage you or constantly complain. Pray for these people instead.
- Make sure you are praying as often as you can, not just when you need something. Always thank the Lord for everything you have and speak to Him all of the time. He wants us to talk to Him. He is always with us.
- Be led by the spirit. If you are doing something you are unsure of, chances are maybe it isn't good. Stop what you are doing and repent.
- Do not try to please people, you will always be left unsatisfied if you are always setting out for people's approval and acceptance.
- Speak life, not death. In other words, do not speak negative at all because what you speak is how you will act.
- Watch and listen to only positive things on television and the radio. It is so easy to get bad thoughts in our heads by watching the wrong type of show or movie or even listening to the wrong type of "worldy" media that isn't going to help us at all.
Jesus says:
Matthew 7:24-28 (NLT)
24“Anyone who listens to my teaching and follows it is wise, like a person who builds a house on solid rock. 25 Though the rain comes in torrents and the floodwaters rise and the winds beat against that house, it won’t collapse because it is built on bedrock. 26 But anyone who hears my teaching and doesn’t obey it is foolish, like a person who builds a house on sand. 27 When the rains and floods come and the winds beat against that house, it will collapse with a mighty crash.”28 When Jesus had finished saying these things, the crowds were amazed at his teaching, 29 for he taught with real authority—quite unlike their teachers of religious law.
5 Important Verses To Remember Not To Worry
- Proverbs 12:25 (NLT) Worry weighs a person down; an encouraging word cheers a person up.
- Matthew 6:27 (NLT) Can all your worries add a single moment to your life?
- 1 Peter 5:7 (NLT) Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.
- Psalm 37:1 (NLT) Don’t worry about the wicked or envy those who do wrong.
- Philippians 4:6 (NLT) Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.

Becoming A New Person
Becoming A New Person
When trying to change yourself, you can run into a lot of challenging situations. Not everybody in your inner circle may be happy that you are changing yourself although, you feel that they should and it's a good thing that you are changing. The people that may have a difficult time accepting you changing are probably the people that also have things they need to change but are comfortable with how they are so, they have no desire to change themselves. Change is hard and sometimes scary because it's new to you. You are becoming a new person.
You have to try new things and act in new ways. You may need to start hanging out with people that would be better influence on you which can help you to change for the better. This can also be challenging because you have a mindset that you are not good enough for these people or that you would never hang out with someone like that.Maybe you don't have anything in common with them. Maybe you think they seem "fake" because they are always so chipper and happy when you see them. Chances are, maybe they are actually happy and you just aren't used to being around happy people.
Take things slowly and reach out to different people that you wouldn't normally reach out to. Sometimes if you don't have things in common with a person that's a good thing because perhaps you can teach each other something. When trying to better yourself it's very important to find encouraging people to surround yourself with. It will make you feel good and at the same time be of benefit to them because they most likely enjoy helping people by encouraging them.
You may come across some people that won't really give you the time of day (a chance to get to know them). If you do try reaching out to somebody quite a few times and they don't reach back, it's best to move on and reach out to others and pray for that other person in the meantime. Who knows, they can be going through something. If they think they are too good for you then that's a big problem for them and they will have to work on that spirit sooner or later.
Change is very possible as long as you want to change. Pray, reach out to people and help people along the way and you will begin feeling so great you will be more eager to do more each day! Don't give up, you can do this!
When feeling discouraged remember these verses:
Deuteronomy 31:6 (NLT)
So be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid and do not panic before them. For the Lord your God will personally go ahead of you. He will neither fail you nor abandon you.
Proverbs 18:15 (NLT)
Intelligent people are always ready to learn. Their ears are open for knowledge.

Think Of The Positive
It's so hard to think of the positive. Who are your friends? Are they fun to be around? Or do they get on your nerves? Are they complaining every time you speak to them? Be careful of whom you spend your time with because their negative spirit will wear off on you and you will unknowingly bring it everywhere you go. You will become like your friend that is always complaining, down and overly stressed all of the time. It's so easy to fall into that trap when you are spending your time with this type of person all of the time. What does complaining really do for anybody? It only wastes our energy and sometimes we will get stuck in that spot; it will be hard to get out of. Sometimes it will only cause us to start complaining about everything.
Why not take another approach? Distance yourself from that friend, set boundaries to how much you will speak to this person. Pray for them. Pray with them if they are willing. Friends need friends when they are going through things but, a true friend isn't going to sit there and complain the whole time with the person. A good friend should want to try uplifting their friend, helping them smile again. Surround yourself with positive people, friends that encourage you, make you feel so happy when you are around them, friends that are exciting to be around.
Of course we are all human,we will complain once in awhile but we need to think of the positives when we do complain. Example: "The weather is soooo cold today. I hate when it snows....I'm thankful that it's pretty to look at though and our weather can be a lot worse". Start being thankful for things that you don't normally think of being thankful for. Just because you can't see the things that you should be thankful for doesn't mean they aren't there. When you start being thankful for things that you wouldn't normally think of, things will start changing for you. You will begin to complain less if you have this problem. When you are around them people that love to complain, maybe you will be the light in that conversation and say something positive when they are in the dark.
God is #1
Again, I apologize about not being here as consistently as I should had. I really lost my focus when somebody introduced a business opportunity. I saw huge money signs and thought the opportunity would be the answer to all of my problems. I clean homes for a living and it isn't easy, my body aches many times by the time I get home I'm so exhausted I don't want to do anything else. So, like I said when this person showed me this business opportunity I thought this was my answer. I did pray about it but I know I already answered for myself a big YES!
I only tried this for about 47 days and I realize that it takes time to build a business but, my husband and I only spent about $1000, which is a lot of money to us. We worked hard for that $1000! But the way we were introduced to the opportunity is that we were informed that we would get our money back right away. We will get "now" money as they advertised to get us in. So this is what we were looking at. Obviously, with any business you do have to try and make effort and we did. But, still didn't see a dime. I realized as I was trying to build this business, I was beginning to only focus on this. I was constantly thinking of how we can make it work.
I then began to feel wrong about being part of the business, and didn't agree with how they recruit people either using God's name like they are a Christian company. If you are a Christian company I feel that things wouldn't be so expensive for people and maybe at these meetings we are attending we should also be praying and worshiping God, not just talking about the big amounts of money people have made. I hope I don't sound bitter at all. I'm not, I just wanted to share my recent experience and let people know why I wasn't here. I have to trust in God more and stop trying to do everything on my own. Everything that will happen and has happened is on God's time, not mans. Even if somebody tries to tell you that it's God's timing and you shall do something, pray when you are alone and speak to God about the situation. Don't always believe somebody when they are using the Lord's name to get you to do something because remember the devil can be deceiving. If we are putting God #1 in our life, everything will start to fall into place for us.
1 John 4:1 (NIV)
Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.
Ephesians 6:11 (NIV)
Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.

Don't Put All Focus On Money
So many times I start worrying about money and my mind starts going crazy. I would worry about if I'm going to have enough money for this and have enough for that... It wasn't a good feeling. It's not a good feeling when you want to buy something and you know that if you buy this item you may not have enough for another item you may need next week. That's why I wanted to write this post titled "Don't put all your focus on money".
We shouldn't worry about money at all. Yes, I know this is hard at times but God does not want us worrying about anything at all because He will provide. When we are starting a new business, it is simple to start thinking about money all the time. If we are worrying half the time then we won't be able to do much of anything else because our mind won't be in the right spot. When focusing only on money many things can happen with us such as:
- we can't focus on anything else
- we become easily irritated
- we may isolate from others
- we get angry
- we can lose close friends or family
As for myself, I notice when I don't think about money, more money comes my way. I have a small cleaning business. Sometimes it's slow especially when I seem to be worrying about money (now that I think about it). But, like I said when I'm not thinking about next week or money, I make more money. Ironic huh? No, it's God. He is telling me to stop worrying about "worldly" things because money is of the world.
Worrying about things is only wasted energy. It is no good for our health and can cause us to become weary. Worrying doesn't accomplish anything. When you start to worry, start to pray instead. Be thankful for everything that you have and let the Lord know that you are leaving it all to Him because He knows everything. He has a plan and wants us to trust in Him. He is our provider.
Matthew 6:34 (AMPLIFIED)
So do not worry or be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will have worries and anxieties of it's own. Sufficient for each day is its own trouble.
Philippians 4:6 (AMPLIFIED)
Do not fret or have any anxiety about anything, but in every circumstance and in everything, by prayer and petition (definite requests), with thanksgiving, continue to make your wants known to God.

Keep Moving Forward
Yesterday I wrote about people being judgmental. I didn't want to come across sad by writing what I wrote. I was just speaking of my current experience. I know there are others that may be experiencing the same type of situations and I want everybody to know no matter where you came from in life, no matter what anybody says about you, no matter how you feel at the moment, God loves you regardless. You are a child of God and you are worthy. It does not matter how you are feeling inside. As hard as it is, it is important not to follow your feelings, don't let them control you and your actions. If you are having any type of negative feelings inside such as sadness, depression, anger, worthless, weary or any other type of feeling that does not make you feel very good on the inside, it is not from God! Them bad feelings are from the enemy! The enemy wants you to feel worthless and keep your head down at all times. The enemy wants you to be alone; the enemy wants you to be the old person because he doesn't like when people move forward with their lives and get close to God. Keep moving forward!
Don't listen to anybody that doubts you. Don't let any of their negativity get inside of you. Some people say things to others to stop them from succeeding or stop them from what they are being called to do by God. People have a hard time changing and sometimes they have a difficult time seeing others that are close to them change. Why? They are comfortable with the way things are and because they have no intention on changing they feel everybody around them should remain the same also. Do you know what I say to this? Keep moving forward!
Romans 12:2 (NIT)
Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is- His good pleasing and perfect will.
Proverbs 24:20 (NIT)
Do not envy the wicked, do not desire their company;
for their hearts plot violence,
and their lips talk about making trouble.

Don't Judge
People are constantly judging people everyday. It's funny because they don't want others to judge them but they are judging others themselves. Since becoming a Christian and trying to live as the new me, I've been watching who my close friends are because I want to be sure that I surround myself with positive people that aren't going to try bringing me down but, am I being judgmental? I find it very difficult because I feel like I am bring judged by the people that I would love to be friends with and grow in my faith with. Why is it so difficult to have healthy relationships? Can it be because nobody trusts me because I am a new Christian? Do I have to watch everything I say to people because they may get offended or they are judging me by what I am saying? So many people speak to me at church but that is as far as it goes. I see church faces and 'we should get together' but that is all. I feel very judged at the place most would think you wouldn't be judged. I know I am worthy and I know it is their issue that they must be so judgmental. Perhaps there is no room in their circle of friends. Perhaps I don't have a nice house or nice car or a wonderful job like they have. I am thankful that I have a place to live and a car that drives me to work each day. I have had a rough life for most of my life especially when I had to grow up when I was just 15 years old because I became pregnant and from there till about 28 years old I lived a pretty wild life full of sin from drugs, alcohol, promiscuity, homosexuality and more...That was the old me. I am grateful that God has forgiven me for everything and that He loves me unconditionally regardless of what I have or don't have. I love God so much!
I have come to the conclusion that the best thing I can do to gain meaningful relationships that actually grow is to pray about it. I have to ask God to help bring the right people in front of me. I have to trust in God more and allow Him to do His work instead of myself trying so hard to be friends with everybody and getting hardly any results in return. I am a child of God and deserve the best of friends for sure, everybody does! God wants us to love everybody and not judge because we will be judged. So next time when someone asks for you to join them for a coffee maybe you should be glad to join them even if your schedule is really busy, make time, spend 30 minutes if that's all you have at that time. It can mean the world to that person. Don't think you are better than anybody. We are supposed to be lifting people up, not bringing them down. We are supposed to be encouraging others, not discouraging. So, next time a new friend asks for some company, don't judge!
Matthew 7:1-2 NLT
"Do not judge others, and you will not be judged. For you will be treated as you treat others. The standard you use in judging is the standard by which you will be judged.
John 7:24 KJV
Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.
Psalms 32:10 KJV
Many sorrows shall be to the wicked: but he that trusteth in the Lord, mercy shall compass him about.

You Are Worthy!
Many people tend to judge themselves as how they were treated in the past. Perhaps they still are allowing people to treat them as worthless. Why? We are all worthy, beautiful, and gifted in something. Yes, some people are talented in many things, maybe they have great self discipline. Maybe they were raised in a family that helped them focus on them talents they have. Everybody is here for a purpose, they just need to pray about what God's plan is and they will soon be on their way to succeeding.
If your parents were really hard on you and maybe still are just pray that you want to see what God sees in them. This will help you look past all the negative things they may had done to you or said to you although, it may be very difficult. Just keep praying about this. If you meditate on all the negative things all of the time you will be acting bitter, edgy and negative. People will be able to see through you, and the words you speak will show what's in your heart. Don't allow people's bad spirits to get inside of you. Them bad spirits are the enemy, not God.
My point is that no matter how low you may feel, how sad, or worthless, you need to realize that those feelings are not real. They may feel real but they are not the truth. The truth is you are a child of God and you are worthy! You are gifted and need to start lifting your head up high and stop listening to any negatives thoughts that may pop in your head. When a negative thought pops in your head try speaking out loud that you are worthy, you are beautiful, you are a child of God! You are worthy!
Proverbs 4:23 (KJV)
Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.
Proverbs 21:2 (AMP)
Every way of a man is right in his own eyes, but the Lord weighs and tries the hearts [Proverbs 24:12, Luke 16:15]
1 Samuel 12:24 (KJV)
Only fear the Lord, and serve Him in truth with all your heart: for consider how great things he hath done for you.

Don't Let Others Bring You Down!
When we are changing ourselves for the better, there will always be someone or maybe even a whole group of people that want to bring you down to where they are. They may be uncomfortable with how well you are doing, they could be jealous and bitter toward you. They may want to try to ruin what you have achieved. They may speak about your past all of the time in hopes that you will want to go backward and be who you were before. They will most likely gossip about you to others because they are jealous.
For myself as I become more hungry each day for God's Word and am growing in my Faith it seems that some family members are getting angry that I am changing along with my husband. We are becoming stronger in our marriage while others are trying to ruin what we are building at the same time. I understand it is the enemy and in the past we have allowed the enemy in. This time and from now on, we choose God. God is our #1 ! Going back to how things were before wouldn't be the right thing to do just because that's what "man" wants. We are way better off doing what God wants us to do and keep moving forward.
The people that have difficulty with the people that are making positive changes in their life are the people that may have a serious problem on the inside and should stop worrying about others' lives and worry about their own. Perhaps they need to focus on their own life for awhile to better seek what the real issue is. Instead of trying to reason with these people it's best just to distance yourself from them for a bit. Pray for these people. There's no reason to try to explain why you are trying to change yourself because you don't need to explain to anybody on this Earth at all. If you are changing because you finally found the Lord then that is awesome! That is a great thing!
2 Timothy 3:12 (NLT)
Yes, and everyone who wants to live a Godly life in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution.
John 15:18 (NLT) Jesus says,
"If the world hates you, remember that it hated me first.
1 Peter 3:17 (NLT)
Remember, it is better to suffer for doing good, if that is what God wants, than to suffer for doing wrong.
Proverbs 1:7 (NLT)
Fear of the Lord is the foundation of true knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and discipline.

Get Involved!
Getting involved in the church is important to help your church function better; it's rewarding because you are helping others grow in their faith and it will help you grow as well! It's great for people that find it difficult to socialize or make friends. You will begin to naturally make friends with people. You will feel great each time you are volunteering. You are helping people. Helping people is so rewarding in itself. Being involved is setting a good example for the little ones in your family.
Matthew 5:16 (KJV)
Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
If you want to get involved with things outside of the church that is great also! You can start by helping out at a homeless shelter, children's services, teen groups, food banks, or something else that maybe your heart is calling you to do. There is so many places out there that need volunteers, you just have to get out there and search. You will be happy when you start volunteering . When we do things God's way we start to build better character for ourselves and will be the light in many people's lives. We may sow seeds without even realizing it!

Don't Look Back-Move Forward
As I looked at all my posts I noticed that "Don't Look Back" had many views, and was my most popular. I totally understand why this is. Many of us have trouble moving forward from our past or we hold onto things from the past that had really hurt us. The thing is if we are constantly thinking about something or someone that hurt us in the past how are we ever going to have a happy, peaceful life? You can't. You can't live a happy life when you are stuck in the past. If you did something awful, shameful or something you shouldn't had did in the past, you have now accepted The Holy Spirit in your heart, you repented and asked for forgiveness, you are forgiven. It is time to move forward from the old you and keep becoming the new you. You are a work in progress. You have to practice a new way of thinking everyday. You have to do new things now to become that NEW person. You are a child of God. You work for God. You are valuable, beautiful, unique and are here for a purpose. If somebody told you were stupid, ugly, useless, or anything along them lines, they are wrong! Their opinion should mean nothing to you. You should not care about anybody's opinions on this Earth.
Some people choose to stay where they are at in life regardless of how angry, depressed or anxious they may be. That is their choice. Nothing will ever get better for them if they are choosing to live that way. They can be happy if they want to be. When we are trying to be obedient to God we need to make changes to have a better life. We do not need to keep bringing up the past. If we have people in our life that likes to always bring up the past we need to let them know that old person died and you are now a new person. If they can't accept that you are changing yourself for the better then the best thing to do for now would be to distance yourself from them and pray for them. It is not your issue that they can not accept your decision, it's their issue. Change is hard; some people find it difficult to accept a loved one when they are changing themselves even though it is a good thing that they are changing. It's uncomfortable to change at first and can be uncomfortable when someone close is changing. But sometimes it's a good thing to be uncomfortable.
My point in this post is if you want to be a better person now then be it! Stop allowing people to bring you back to the past. Hang out with new people if you want to change. Surround yourself with positive people that will only encourage you, not discourage you. Stop talking about the past and only talk about today. Don't look back, move forward!
Romans 12:2 (Amplified)
Do not be conformed to this world (this age), [fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customs] but be transformed (changed) by the [entire] renewal of your mind [by its new ideals and its new attitude], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God, even the thing which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His sight for you].
Colossians 3:2 (Amplified)
And set your minds and keep them set on what is above (the higher things), not on the things that are on the earth.

Keeping Quiet
You are probably wondering what type of title this is for my post today. I thought I should write about keeping quiet because all too often some of us need to learn to do this rather then reacting all of the time. So many times I have said things that I shouldn't have said just because I didn't think before I spoke or it was in the heated moment. I am now learning that it is always better to keep quiet and pray rather then giving my 2 cents. I sometimes have this habit with my husband that when he says something that got under my skin or something that maybe he shouldn't have said, I would say something sarcastic or degrading to him. Why was I doing this? I know I am human, that is no excuse. My responsibility as his wife is to encourage him and say kind words to him. Being sarcastic or saying something rude to him only makes him feel discouraged, angry, insecure or any of negative way I don't want him to feel. I want him happy, confident and energized to do anything he can. I now am practicing keeping quiet instead. I need to keep comments to myself if one comes into my head, unless it's a positive one of course. It's not about who's right or who's wrong. It's about being a good wife and a good person. I have to realize when my husband is telling me something it's not because he is asking for advice from me. He is just telling me something!
Proverbs 21:9 (Amplified)
9 It is better to dwell in a corner of the housetop [on the flat oriental roof, exposed to all kinds of weather] than in a house shared with a nagging, quarrelsome, and faultfinding woman.

Enjoy Your Day
Why is it that so many people wait until they find out that they are dying to change how they are living? Why does it take them to hear this to now want to see people they have had bitterness toward all these years? How come they wait until now to want God in their life? I do not have the answers to these questions but I have wondered about this at times. I will not try to figure it out either. I have come to a decision that I must keep working on myself and allowing God to lead me in everything I shall be doing. When I fall, I need to get back up. When I feel sad, I need to read some scripture, I need to listen to Christian music. I need to speak to God about how I feel and ask Him for strength to get through that day. When I feel bitter toward anybody I need to pray about it right away because I am aware that is no way to live. That is a negative way to be. I need to either forgive that person if I feel they did something wrong to me or I just need to get over myself and smile instead.
I know it is so unfair to God that sometimes He is put on the back burner until we are stuck. Some don't acknowledge Him until they are dying (probably because they know they were putting Him on the back burner). If I would had never accepted Jesus into my heart I'm sure I could have easily became one of them people but, I'm happy that I came to Him and I know He is always by my side. It's amazing how unconditional His love is! It's amazing how forgiving He is! We all need to be this way! We have to put our feelings aside and love more.
None of us know when our last day on Earth is. Why don't we just live how we are supposed to and be happy? We should help people that need help that aren't getting help from anybody? We are still here on Earth because God has a purpose for us. He wants us to do things for others. He wants us to encourage others, build them up (even if we aren't feeling the best ourselves), He wants us to tell others about Him. I am so grateful that I am changing each day by the grace of God. I am thankful that I know what to do now when any negative spirit comes inside of me. I am not perfect nor, will I ever be but, I have the best tool there is now and suggest it to anybody that wants to begin changing themselves also....THE BIBLE.... The best book to help anybody with anything! So next time somebody irks you the wrong way or, something else starts to bug you, try to remember that we are never promised tomorrow and we should, take a breath, remain calm and ENJOY OUR DAY!
Matthew 6:14-15 (KJV)
For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your Heavenly Father will forgive you: 15, But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

Don't Fear Life
Today at church our Pastor was speaking about having fears and I think this is a huge and important topic that needs to be discussed a lot more just so we can always remember that we should not have fears on this earth. I was so thankful that I received this message today, I want to encourage anybody out there that also may have fears in their life at this time that there is nothing to be afraid of when you have Jesus in your life. He does not want us to be afraid of rejection, lack of anything (finances, losing a job, etc). He does not want us to worry about things that can possibly happen in our life. He does not want us to worry about the future. What good would it be for us to constantly worry about things? Are you afraid of failing at something? If you want to succeed at something that you are very passionate about, sometimes you do have to fail a few times before you get success. It's okay to fail, we are humans. None of us are perfect. What good is it for us to be afraid of stepping out of our comfort zone in order to get to where we want to go? Why do you have a fear of talking to that one person that you think is awesome? Do you think you are not worth it? Do you think that you're not good enough?
The truth is you are good enough! You are a child of God and he does not make garbage. You are awesome! You deserve everything that you wish for in life. If you are trying your best at doing what is right in your life, God can see what you are doing and you will be blessed. He can see what's in your heart. If you are friends with people that are constantly having fear and sharing them fears with you and this causes you to begin to worry also, start thinking about distancing yourself from these people. These people don't have the faith that you are trying to gain and may cause you to feel even worse. Having fear is not having faith in God. When you have fear in something you aren't trusting God in that area. When you have faith, you can do anything you want to do; you can have anything you want to have. You just have to trust and ask.
Isaiah 41:13 (Amplified)
For I the Lord your God; hold your right hand, I am the Lord, Who says to you; Fear not, I will help you!
Proverbs 3:5 (Amplified)
Lean on, trust in, and be confident in the Lord with all your heart and mind and do not rely on your own insight or understanding.
Joshua 1:9 (Amplified)
Have I not commanded you? Be strong, vigorous, and very courageous. Be not afraid, neither be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.
Philippians 4:13 (Amplified)
I have strength for all things in Christ Who empowers me [I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him Who infuses inner strength into me; I am self-sufficient in Christ's sufficiency].

Sowing A Seed
It wasn't until recently that I've come to notice when a seed was sown in my life. Before I came to Christ I lived a lot differently then I do now of course. I often longed for people's approval. I was always trying to get everybody to like me. I would do just about anything to fit in with certain groups of people. If somebody didn't like me, I would get offended. I would try to figure out why this person didn't like me. What did I do to them? I thought I was a "likable" person, I would think there must be something wrong with me. At times, I would become so consumed with this that it would cause me to complain for days and sometimes I would end up in a depression state. I would have a "poor me" attitude. I would begin looking at all of my flaws. I would start complaining about everything and anything. It would be hard for me to have a good attitude because I was so far into my head, I just couldn't focus on anything else.
One day I was speaking to a friend (actually I should say complaining) and she suggested a book for me to read. It was by Joyce Meyer. I had no clue who Joyce Meyer was at this time, I never heard her name before this day. The book was called, How To Overcome Being A People Pleaser. Well, after I began reading this book it began changing the way I thought right away. Such a great book for anybody that has these types of issues. Not too long after I read that book I began watching Joyce Meyer on television. I love the way she is so outspoken. She doesn't soften anything. I needed this! Not too long after I read her book I became a Christian. Other things happened in between to help lead me there but, my friend sowed the seed by giving me Joyce Meyer's book to read. From there Jesus helped lead me to watching her shows to learn more about Him, getting water baptized, wanting more and more of the Lord each day that passes by. I feel so good after I read the Word, pray, listen to some Christian music, or even after I watch a Godly show on the television. Now, I know the things I must do anytime I start feeling insecure or any type of fear. I have to speak to Jesus. I know I shouldn't feel insecure about anything and have no fear because He does not want me or anybody out there to feel them negative spirits. Them negative spirits do not come from The Lord and I know that now.
I am so thankful for that friend for sowing a seed in my life. She didn't know what would happen when she gave me that book. She didn't know if I would actually read it. I'm sure she didn't know that my life would begin changing either from that point. It began changing slowly and still is each day. I believe we can all do the same type of thing in another's life. We can sow a seed without even knowing that we are doing so at that moment. If we all walk in love and try helping others, this could be all it may take. Even doing what my friend did that day by giving me a Christian book to read. We can help someone by inviting them to church, showing them a really uplifting Christian song, praying with them, listening to them at that moment of being in a dark place in their life. There are so many different ways we can help others. We have to remember that all we are to do is sow a seed. When we do sow a seed, chances are later down the road them people we helped are likely to help others and it will become a chain reaction. How awesome is that? Things are not going to start changing on our time. It will be on God's time. We have to sow a seed and leave it to God. We can't sit around and continue to try to fix or figure things out because it isn't our job. It is God's job. We can make ourselves sick if we do try to fix everything. Just leave it to God and see what happens. God knows what everybody needs and we have to allow Him to do His work in us.
Luke 8:11 (KJV)
Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God.
2 Corinthians 9:6 (KJV)
But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.
Psalms 107:37 (KJV)
And sow the fields, and plant vineyards, which may yield fruits of increase.
Think Of The Positive...
A good friend should want to try uplifting their friend, helping them smile again

Be The First To Apologize
Sometimes we can sacrifice our peace and joy only to hold bitterness toward somebody because they may have offended us in some way and may had not even realized it. We need to learn to let things go that aren't worth holding onto. If someone does something that happens to hurt our feelings and we react to it and say something or do something in revenge that won't get too far either. How about when the person does something to us and instead of reacting,we act in a different manner? Such as let us be the first to apologize regardless of who started it or who was wrong. It's not about who was right and who was wrong. Swallow your pride, be loving and just apologize. You may surprise the person when you do apologize because they may expect you to act in another way. But, why not surprise them? Be the first to apologize.
Leviticus 26:19 (AMPLIFIED)
And I will break and humble your pride in your power, and I will make your heavens as iron [yielding no answer, no blessing, no rain] and your earth [as sterile] as brass.
Psalms 10:4 (NLT)
The wicked are too proud to seek God. They seem to think that God is dead.
Psalms 10:4 (AMPLIFIED)
The wicked one in the pride of his countenance will not seek, inquire for, and yearn for God; all his thoughts are that there is no God [so He never punishes].

A Fresh Start
It's never too late for anybody to start again regardless of their age. We all make mistakes sometime or another and most likely will continue making mistakes all of our life but, we should decrease the amount of mistakes we are making as we get to know Christ more and more each day. I think the more we get to know Christ, the more we will want to be like Him and we will become more aware of what we are doing when we are doing something we shouldn't be doing. Nobody on this earth is perfect by any means but, this is no excuse for us to purposely do something wrong.
2 Corinthians 5:17 (NLT)
This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!

Don't Look Back
Most people have something from their past that they are ashamed of or maybe something in their past really hurt them and they are still carrying that hurt today. The thing is if you have repented, and have accepted Jesus into your heart then anything you have done in your past that was wrong, the Lord has forgiven you. You do not have to carry any hurt anymore either, you are loved so much by Jesus and He wants you to be happy, confident and strong. Yes, we are all humans and of course we will be hurt sometime or another, that's normal but to constantly feel down and depressed because we are so hurt is no good for us nor healthy. Any sins you have committed in the past, as long as you were honest with the Lord and asked for forgiveness, He will forgive you. Don't keep bringing it up to Him because you only have to bring it up once. He forgives you for that sin and then forgets about it. He doesn't hold onto it as we do as human beings although, we shouldn't. How can you be happy if you are holding onto your wrong doing? Don't do it ever again and do everything in your power to start getting closer to Jesus and you will begin to feel better. Help other people that you know you are capable of helping. Get out of the house and socialize with encouraging people face to face. The Lord wants us to all love and help each other. So today, I just wanted to say don't look back any longer. Move forward. We aren't promised tomorrow so, why not live the best we can today and be happy, stop thinking and speaking of our past.
Matthew 6:14-15 (Message)
In prayer there is a connection in what God does and what you do. You can't get forgiveness from God, for instance, without also forgiving others. If you refuse to do your part, you cut yourself off from God's part.
1 John 1:8-10 (Message)
If we claim we're free of sin, we're only fooling ourselves. A claim that is errant nonsense. On the other hand, if we admit our sins- make a clean breast of them- he won't let us down; he'll be true to himself. He'll forgive us of all our sins and purge us of all wrongdoing. If we claim that we've never sinned, we out-and-out contradict God- make a liar out of him. A claim like that only shows off our ignorance of God.
Acts 3:19 (Amplified)
So repent (change your mind and purpose); turn around and return [to God], that your sins may be erased (blotted out, wiped clean), that times of refreshing (of recovering from the effects of heat, of reviving with fresh air) may come from the presence of the Lord;
