Don't Stress!

Don't stress? What kind of title is this that you ask? I thought I would talk about how stressed we get at times and really what does it do for us? Nothing, absolutely nothing at all. Perhaps we will get headaches, feel sick to our stomachs, complain to people, become bitter, maybe isolate ourselves from others and sit there and meditate on everything that's stressing us out. None of this is what God wants nor is it healthy or helpful for us in any way.

We need to have the proper tools to know what to do when we face "storms" that may become challenging for us. I understand how hard it can be to pray when your mind is filled with the challenge you may be facing and it is okay if it is hard. You don't have to pray perfectly. Just simply speak to the Lord and ask Him to help you with your situation, ask Him to give you the strength that you need at the moment and moments you will face ahead. Then you must receive it and give thanks to Him for His help. Are you so stressed that you don't even know what to ask help for or where to start? Be calm, ask Him to help you in everywhere area you are struggling in at this time. Just be sure that you will be ready to make the changes He will show you. It's also important and helpful to read the best book in the world, the bible. Read some scriptures to get out of your head and be encouraged.
We can't live a happy life if we are always stressed out. Another way to look at things would be that there are always other people in worse situations than us so, why are we complaining so much? There are probably many people that would be very grateful to be in our situations rather than theirs'. We have to start being thankful for everything we have and thankful that we are alive, on earth and realize that we are all here for a purpose and it's not to complain everyday and be bitter. None of us know when our last days are so we need to start living in love rather than hate or unforgiveness toward people. I hope this can encourage you in some way, feel free to leave any comments below and follow me for more blog updates!

Don't Judge

People are constantly judging people everyday. It's funny because they don't want others to judge them but they are judging others themselves. Since becoming a Christian and trying to live as the new me, I've been watching who my close friends are because I want to be sure that I surround myself with positive people that aren't going to try bringing me down but, am I being judgmental? I find it very difficult because I feel like I am bring judged by the people that I would love to be friends with and grow in my faith with. Why is it so difficult to have healthy relationships? Can it be because nobody trusts me because I am a new Christian? Do I have to watch everything I say to people because they may get offended or they are judging me by what I am saying? So many people speak to me at church but that is as far as it goes. I see church faces and 'we should get together' but that is all. I feel very judged at the place most would think you wouldn't be judged. I know I am worthy and I know it is their issue that they must be so judgmental. Perhaps there is no room in their circle of friends. Perhaps I don't have a nice house or nice car or a wonderful job like they have. I am thankful that I have a place to live and a car that drives me to work each day. I have had a rough life for most of my life especially when I had to grow up when I was just 15 years old because I became pregnant and from there till about 28 years old I lived a pretty wild life full of sin from drugs, alcohol, promiscuity, homosexuality and more...That was the old me. I am grateful that God has forgiven me for everything and that He loves me unconditionally regardless of what I have or don't have. I love God so much!
I have come to the conclusion that the best thing I can do to gain meaningful relationships that actually grow is to pray about it. I have to ask God to help bring the right people in front of me. I have to trust in God more and allow Him to do His work instead of myself trying so hard to be friends with everybody and getting hardly any results in return. I am a child of God and deserve the best of friends for sure, everybody does! God wants us to love everybody and not judge because we will be judged. So next time when someone asks for you to join them for a coffee maybe you should be glad to join them even if your schedule is really busy, make time, spend 30 minutes if that's all you have at that time. It can mean the world to that person. Don't think you are better than anybody. We are supposed to be lifting people up, not bringing them down. We are supposed to be encouraging others, not discouraging. So, next time a new friend asks for some company, don't judge!

Matthew 7:1-2 NLT
"Do not judge others, and you will not be judged. For you will be treated as you treat others. The standard you use in judging is the standard by which you will be judged.

John 7:24 KJV
Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.

Psalms 32:10 KJV
Many sorrows shall be to the wicked: but he that trusteth in the Lord, mercy shall compass him about.

Having Faith

Why do we not trust in God? Many of us say that we do but, when we have a fear of something such as anxiety, worry, or we are sad, angry or depressed because of something of this world we are not putting our trust in the Lord. If we have faith and we trust in the Lord we will not be worried about things because we know that He will take care of whatever our needs are. Worry is something that I struggle with from time to time. But, now when I do I have become aware that it is wrong for me to worry about things. God will take care of everything I need as long as I have faith in Him and I trust in Him. If I allow myself to constantly worry about things it will not help anything or anybody around me. The worry would also begin to control me and can eventually make me sick. It is not healthy for any of us. Our God is very faithful, he knows everything we need, everything we think and He knows better than us. So we must do what is right and obey God and stop trying to do everything our way. Have faith and everything will work out.

(NLT) Deuteronomy 7:9, Understand, therefore, that the Lord your God is indeed God. He is the faithful God who keeps his convenant for a thousand generations and lavishes his unfailing love on those who love Him and obey His commands.
